Memo to myself
When the other postdoc says we (read: I) should do these calibration tests in two stages--an initial high-frequency stage, then a slower stage once the sample's been testing long enough for fatigue cracking to be a reasonable possibility--agree with the other postdoc.
Today's going to be a long day. But however long it ends up being, it would have been shorter if I'd not said, "No way, we should do the calibration tests at a constant frequency, even if it means they take a long time."
